Dental Bonding

Composite Dental Bonding

Composite bonding is a technique used to restore or improve the appearance of a tooth. One of the most effective uses of composite bonding is to place tooth-colored fillings in a tooth that has decayed. Bonding procedures can also be done on slightly broken, chipped or discolored teeth. This procedure usually requires minimal anesthetic. A tooth-colored composite material is painted onto the surface of the tooth, shaped to match the patient’s adjacent teeth, hardened with a high-intensity light, and polished. Composite bonding allows us to achieve a beautifully refinished smile in just one office visit. Bonding does have limitations and can chip and stain.

A Note On The Coronavirus

After much consideration and the recommendations of the ADA, KDA and Kansas Department of Health I have made the decision to temporarily close our office.  We will continue to be available to our patients on an emergency only basis.  Currently we plan to reopen on April 1 pending any further delays.  If you have an emergency, call the office number 913-491-6874.  We appreciate each one of you and look forward to when we will be reminiscing about this.
