If you have wanted to correct certain issues with your teeth and make them straighter, now might be the best time ever to do just that. You do not have to go the traditional braces route in many cases, as Invisalign is clear, relatively painless, and accomplishes the job in about half the time. How much do you currently know about this option? Take this true or false quiz to find out.
Invisalign: True or False? Choosing Invisalign as your orthodontic option means that you will have to wear the trays for 20 hours a day, including while you sleep.
Answer: This is true. Keep in mind that we are working towards straighter teeth, so this does mean that you need to have your clear braces in place to make that happen. That being said, you will be able to remove them when you eat, drink, and brush your teeth. This is something you cannot do with traditional braces.
Invisalign: True or False? It will take three to four years to go through a full course of treatment with Invisalign due to the fact that aligners move your teeth much more slowly than metal braces do.
Answer: This is false. Invisalign actually moves your teeth quite easily, so treatment should only last between one to two years.
Invisalign: True or False?: You will need to wear the very same aligner trays for the duration of the treatment. We will simply have you come in once in a while so that we can adjust the trays.
Answer: This is also false. We actually use a series of trays that you will move through as your teeth shift throughout the treatment process.
